No, our studio is unfortunately not open to the public at this time. Our Art prints, however, can be seen in select stores in Toronto.

At this time we accept Visa during the checkout on PennyPeople.com. We also give you the option to pay by cheque, or Interac.
Instructions are given during the checkout on how to pay. Alternatively, if you would like to pay via PayPal, then select
PAY BY INTERAC during the checkout and e-mail us after you have ordered to request a PayPal invoice. We highly recommend one of the
instant payment methods, such as Via, or PayPal, or E-Mail Money transfer for payment as it means your order gets processed right away.
We don't design, or print orders until payment has been received, and paying by cheque, although welcomed, is not highly encouraged.
Shopping on our Etsy Shop
Paypal is the only method of payment accepted. You do not need a PayPal account in order to pay this way.

Orders placed on PennyPeople.com can be shipped anywhere in Canada, and the USA.
Art prints, ordered in our Etsy shop, can be shipped worldwide. If a shipping destination is not offered in our Etsy shop, e-mail
us and ask for a shipping quote! :)
I live in Toronto, can I pick up my order if I live in Toronto?
No, our studio is not open to the public. At this time we are only an online retailer.
However, Our Art prints are offered in select stores in Toronto so you can pick up your print(s) to save on shipping.

How Long does shipping take?

How are shipping costs calculated?
Our checkout on PennyPeople.com is linked directly to Canada Post. The rates that you are given during the checkout, are
exactly the rates that we have to pay to ship your parcel, based on weight, and the size of the box. We do not mark up the
shipping on our parcels. If you are ordering from our Etsy shop, our art prints are sold by "flat fee" shipping rates, meaning
no matter how many prints you order, your shipping charges do not increase,

In 2009 we launched our popular personalized art prints. Sold online in our Etsy shop, we've shipped them worldwide. Below are some frequently asked questions about our art prints.
Where can I order your art prints online?
You can order them online in our Etsy store. They are not sold on our PennyPeople.com site.

I've ordered from your shop, when can I expect my prints to arrive?
Prints take 7 business days to design. Shipping transit times vary depending on where we are shipping the print to. Please visit this page to see a helpful timetable on our prints. This is the same time table, that is given on the product page when you ordered.
My print arrived damaged - what can I do?
Although it rarely happens, sometimes our parcels get mishandled in transit. If your pacel arrives damaged, send us a picture of the damaged product + damaged parcel that it came in. We need to have a picture to file a claim with Canada Post. Our Policy is to reship a new print, if the first one arrived damaged.
What kind of paper do you print on?
Photographic Archival Paper, unless otherwise noted in the product description.
Why is shipping so expensive on your 13x19 Art Prints to the USA?
Yeah, we know. It's expensive. But hear us out. Shipping from Canada to the USA is notoriously expensive. So already we're dealing with expensive shipping costs. However, there is one major reason that the shipping rate to the USA for the 13x19 prints is high- we ship the 13x19 prints Xpresspost to the USA. (just one step lower than Priority courier) It is because of the shipping speed that the pricing is so high. The reason why we pick this shipping speed is because Canada Post gaurantees the parcels safe arrival in under 6 transit days. A slower shipping method, (Expedited) in comparison is $13 but Canada Post tells us that the parcel could arrive in 5 days, OR 30 days. They don't gaurentee any delivery date. Which we find hard to tell our customers "Hey, it could arrive tomorrow, or it could arrive in 30 days...". The shipping rate is not high because of the packaging, but instead, because of Xpresspost. Here are some ways to make that shipping cost worthwhile...(1) Buy with a friend...You and she can order your prints, and split that shipping cost (2) Buy an 8x10 Print - the shipping costs are lower because we ship them Regular Mail. (Can take up to 14 days in the mail to get to you, but for $4, that's ok right?)
I'm in Toronto, can I pick up my prints?
You can order our prints at select Toronto stores, and pick up the prints about 1 week later, saving yourself shipping. Orders placed with us, online at Penny People cannot be picked up at stores. You must visit the stores and place orders with them. Please check with the stores prior to visiting them to make sure that they carry the print(s) that you would like to order. Not all stores carry all of our prints.
Can you design a custom print for me?
Some of our best ideas come from customers requesting specific things, so we always encourage you to ask! However, we unfortunately have to turn down custom requests during our busy season, if we are already booked with custom orders, or if we just don't think we would be able to complete the job in a good amount of time. Don't take it personally, we just sometimes can't take on special requests. |
